⏲ What I have been up to since last week
😮 How to use Empathy for better Connection
🌵How to get your posts to stick and win clients

Lets Go 👇👇👇

It’s been a strange week for me since I launched the newsletter last week. As I type these words I can’t quite believe how quickly time goes. When I published my newsletter last week, I thought I had ages to prepare for this week, then Boom!!! 💥 It’s Wednesday again.

So why was the week strange? For those who don’t know me personally, I’m happily married with four children. My wife & I have businesses to run and lives to enjoy but we sometimes forget the enjoyment part. We get consumed by work and the children and then clash.

My wife’s Love language is quality time (If you don’t know your partners Love language I suggest you find out).

If my wife doesn’t get quality time with me then I’m in BIG TROUBLE!!

The Battle Begins

Last week, we had no quality time, we hardly spoke, we fought and made life difficult for each other. So for the last 7 days I have had the hump and been quietly angry 😡

My Love language is physical touch, by not talking to my wife there was Zero chance of anything to give me what I needed. 🤗

But thankfully, we are both intelligent people, we recognise when we are drifting apart and because we love each other we usually make up by sitting and listening to each others concerns.

I’m glad to say we are back on track and today we had a lovely breakfast/date at one of our favourite restaurants Bencotto in Felixstowe. So here’s to many weeks of happiness and no tension for us and you readers to!!

Why did I choose that story to tell you?

I could have written a newsletter to tell you how wonderful I am, How great I am at marketing and helping people scale their business but who cares!!!

The world is full of people shouting buy my Sh*t and ‘Look at Me how great am I’. Facebook is like Bragbook, a collection of posts where everyone has a great life and is successful.

I know a young man who constantly posts pictures of him in super cars that he has borrowed or rented. He has lots of followers but makes no money. Why is this? Well people follow because they like the cars and he doesn’t sell cars. His business has nothing to do with cars. Yet he looks good on social media and gets followers. BIG DEAL!!!

What can you do instead?

Use Empathy and Connection

  • Tell a Story: Use storytelling to create empathy. Showcase real-life stories of how you or your care workers have transformed the lives of the elderly and their families. Share the stories through videos, blog posts, and testimonials.

  •  Human Connection: Emphasize that you’re not selling a service, but providing peace of mind. Market the deep, personal connection your care workers make with clients.

  • Let People Know You: Be vulnerable and let people know the real you. You will get to know me as you read my newsletters. You may not like me and unsubscribe or you may like me and stick around. Either is Ok and here is why -

When you tell stories and connect with people, some will like you and some won’t. When we accept we can’t be liked by everyone magic happens.

We attract people we want to work with and life becomes easier.
We push people away we wouldn’t like to work with and life becomes better for everyone. We don’t have the hassle of working with people who don’t like us and the person can find someone who is good for them. Everyone wins !!! 😉

How to be brave enough to be vulnerable and know what to write to show empathy towards others

Being brave enough to be vulnerable and show empathy towards others can be a challenging task. It requires honesty, self-awareness, and a deep understanding of your audience. Here are some steps to help you create content that resonates with your readers and demonstrates your empathy:

1. Identify your audience's pain points: To connect with your audience, you need to know what they're going through. Research your target market and identify the common challenges they face. This will help you create content that speaks directly to their needs and concerns.

2. Share personal stories: Sharing personal stories is an effective way to establish a connection with your audience. Be open about your own experiences and struggles, and show how you've overcome them. This will help your audience see you as a real person, rather than just a business or service provider.

3. Use emotional language: Emotional language can help your audience feel what you're saying, rather than just reading the words on the page. Describe the emotions you experienced in your stories, and use descriptive words that evoke feelings in your readers. This will help them connect with you on a deeper level.

4. Show vulnerability: Being vulnerable can be scary, but it's also a powerful way to connect with your audience. Admit when you don't have all the answers, and show that you're still learning and growing. This will help your audience see you as a trusted advisor, rather than just an expert.

5. Offer solutions: While it's important to empathize with your audience, you also want to offer solutions to their problems. After sharing a personal story or describing a pain point, provide actionable advice or resources that can help your audience overcome their challenges.

By following these steps, you can create content that not only resonates with your audience but also demonstrates your empathy and vulnerability. This will help you attract the right clients, build stronger relationships, and ultimately grow your business with zero ad spend.

I Hope you enjoyed the newsletter, please let me know if you did and If you have any topics you would like me to cover.
